Over two decades ago
On a tropical Christmas
My two brothers and I
Got a big box
Sent all the way to Hawaii
By a family friend.
A strange man in retrospect.
Inside the box
There was nothing to inspect
But mountains and mountains
Of bubble wrap.
It was colorless
but great popping fun
and much better than
blue or pink
